Is your school seeking stronger ties with parents and the wider community? Why not let StoryNet ignite kids’ curiosity by giving them the chance to ask their own questions?
Active listening is a core skill and a great way to engage family members, loved ones and other special people in school activities. School-based oral-history projects can be easily tailored to meet curriculum objectives in a wide range of subjects. And the best ones involve local volunteer groups.
Recording and sharing these conversations also provides a direct public service, by contributing towards StoryNet’s oral-history archive.
Eligible projects may be entitled to receive StoryNet’s recording-session services free of charge.
